I’m just saying that The T cells which specifically protect you from cancer, were actually higher in the individuals suffering from PVS
The T cells which can specialize into a number of different things for different purposes, one of them being to also fight cancer, among other purposes include autoimmune regulation, bacterial infections, virus infections, parasites infections, etc., were higher in the group without PVS.
The fact that the immune system is complex and redundant is not a surprise to me. I don’t think I have seen evidence in the article you posted to say the people who were suffering from PVS had a reduced ability to fight cancer.
At best it’s a mixed bag of effects. With inconclusive outcomes to what their impact would be. And this was only measured in the population suffering from PVS it wasn’t measured on the general population that took the vaccine so saying the Covid vaccines cause the lowering of of white blood cells is too strong for the evidence in this article IMO.

The PVS group had lower CD4+ T cells which differentiate into several different kinds of cells which do a number of things according to chat GPT. My hunch is that PVS is a form of autoimmune disease caused by the immune system reacting to the spike protein in these cases caused by the vaccine. The symptoms being so close to “long COVID” my hunch is that “long COVID” is an autoimmune disease caused by the bodies immune response to the spike protein, in this case caused by the virus. But these are just my guesses.

1) The TSA is about 20 years old, eliminating them only means going back about 20 years. They didn’t need your chat history or biometrics 25 years ago they don’t need it now. 2) No data besides biometrics are required to authenticate the person is who they say they are from your list. I’m not your personal assistant. You can dig that up yourself if you want to discuss it. But when a country imposes a tariff on a product of ours like cars, we don’t impose an identical magnitude tariff on an identical product from them. We retaliate with a tariff on a product that will do similar damage or protection. Since the countries specialize in different things an identical tariff won’t have the intended effect you want to have if you are trying to retaliate. Instead we have to retaliate with a tariff on that countries steel or agriculture or chip manufacturing.

At 500W (499) I get about 81 watts per TH/s and at 300W (306) I get about 92 watts per TH/s.

I just assumed this was a procedure to not burn up the ASICs by 1) stopping hashing, 2) run fans at full speed, 3) set fans according to configuration, 4) then ramp ASICs to Energy consumption configurations, 5) monitor temperature as the ASIC ramps.
If you mean they should be able to overclock and underclock without needing to “tune” to learn the stable set points I guess I don’t know enough to have an opinion. Once the set points are “learned” you can bounce between them without “tuning” with only the procedure above between the set points.

Do you have the same opinion on threats of violence as you do on threats of tariffs?
They would both be leverage in action.
It’s not the case for example that they are only idle threats, tariffs were levied by Trump, and they were kept in place by Biden.
Tariffs reduce trade.
I’m concerned about the tit for tat growing beyond what individual actors wanted. I’m concerned about the costs of untangling economies. I’m concerned about the costs of permanently not taking advantage of the trade surpluses both countries get when they trade voluntarily, taking advantage of the differences in skills, labor, and capital to allow specialization. I’m concerned that tariffs will make everything more expensive fundamentally because it’s going to be made in places with higher costs to produce the same thing without an increase in quality. This isn’t inflation in the sense of the money supply, it’s restructuring the fundamental way things are produced and where they are produced. I’m concerned if you don’t trade with your enemies you take one stop out of the road to war with your enemies. I’m concerned if you don’t trade with your allies, they will seek trade agreements with your enemies. I’m not a member of the left.

OPEC is a cartel that sets the agreed quantities pumped from each country that is a member of OPEC. The US is not a member of OPEC. We can choose to pump any amount we wish, we pump based on price. And Saudi + others oil is cheaper to pump and process than US oil. OPEC tries to restrict the amount pumped from OPEC members but members can “cheat” and break their commitments. Overall OPEC chooses a quantity of oil production that they believe will maximize their profits while not being so high as to not incentivize production in other countries for example the US. The “backyard” oil pumps and others kick in when the price gets high enough to justify the cost.

A few thoughts. My understanding of things like “chipotle points” is that what they are giving away is more of the thing they make. So from the consumers perspective I get an 8 dollar burrito but from chipotle’s perspective I gave away 3 dollars of ingredients and 1 dollars of employee time. So there is an asymmetrical benefit which incentivizes the company to redeem.
Here is my pitch I think it works but it’s not going to make the accountant happy: Give people the option of receiving a portion of their payroll in sats As an option No KYC Bitcoin. If No KYC Bitcoin has a higher utility than KYC Bitcoin, then employees would be willing to accept an exchange rate for their portion of salaries in fiat that aligned with slightly better than what the No KYC markets provide in terms of trading fiat to btc. Next accept bitcoin as method of payment. Sourcing your own sats from customers, Use lightning which has lower fees than credit cards so you can sell your goods or services at the same price or cheaper to compensate for fees? but have a lower cost of acceptance.
So on the seller side you are keeping more of the value from sales, and on the employer side they are getting lower costs because people are taking a small haircut on a portion of their pay inorder for it to be No KYC, and you are supplying your own NoKYC btc via the clients paying in BTC so you don’t have to face the No KYC market rates.

Thanks for pointing out the book, I haven’t read it but recently came to the evidence of this as a fact, no doubt a derivative of his book. While previous to that I just knew from of philosophical sense that the feeling you owe someone for a gift, being ingrained to the human condition, must have occurred before anything else. The concept that formal debt systems appear to have predated formal money systems is icing on the cake.

I understand he had his appeal chance and the Supreme Court denied hearing it, letting the appeal stand. I have not read the appeal judgements, but a judge sentencing that includes “facts” that were not established by the jury of his peers, is the problem. You are found guilty of X, you were not found guilty of Y, your sentence is what it is because you did Y, So says the prosecution who did not charge it or did not meet the evidentiary threshold to persuade a jury. None the less the judge includes that as a fact established. But he didn’t wave his right to a jury trial did he? So who established that fact? Juries are supposed to establish the facts of a case. Justice served? Seems like no to me so far.

I will be voting for the LP candidate. I’m not in the “Your vote doesn’t count cult” or the “By voting you are legitimizing the system cult” it is a fairly low effort act, but If you want to free Ross, support the party Trump was pandering to when he made the promise to free Ross. Because, I and enough other LP voters in past elections have highlighted a voting block willing to vote for these issues, you now have a candidate pandering to the block in a tight race. Bringing the promise into existence from Trump’s lips was not done by people in the red team. It was done by a group of people making the credible claim that they would not be voting for him, via the existence of their own political party advocating for those issues. The more votes the other parties see exist in the LP, the more positions they will have to adopt from the LP. There is more than one Ross that needs to be freed. I will be celebrating too, on that day if it comes. it will be something I contributed multiple election cycles in the making by supporting LP candidates and ballot access to form the threat and group large enough to get pandered to. The popular vote total for the LP directly assists in achieving ballot access in some states which makes the credible threat of eligible participating voters.

One or more of three things will happen. 1) Taxes rise significantly , 2) Services are cut significantly , 3) monetary base inflates significantly. Any combination of the three will be a painful shock in a more or less similar magnitude. I’d prefer a path where we dig ourselves out a bit and give people time to start adapting. Adding more is increasing the height of the cliff we are walking towards. A default will be a significant cut to services. Border protection is a service. But I agree in a political situation where event talking about correction never mind actually correcting is a third rail. The default or some combination of the three “forms” of default appear unavoidable.

Home addresses and road signs are both a psyop. The real design is to aid distant rulers in the management of their occupied territory at scale. The standardization helps collect taxes, perform surveillance, and enforce laws with incredible efficiency that would not be possible without them.🤣

😀 well if you had good genes and you use interventions your genes are passed on. If you had good genes and you don’t use interventions your genes are passed on.
If you have bad genes and use interventions your genes are passed on to the detriment of the gene pool. If you had bad genes and didn’t take interventions your genes are not passed on protecting the gene pool. This is obviously an oversimplification. But if you are refusing interventions you only improve the gene pool by being excluded from breeding through death or not being selected by a mate due to your weakness. 🤣 Choosing not to procreate is a trait that is maladaptive for survival of the species and is a characteristic that is constantly being selected against. Thank you for your contribution😅
I know all this rhymes with some gross oppression in history. But that doesn’t mean the underlying facts about a gene pools interaction with selective pressures aren’t true. 🤔☹️

I’ve seen drawings of the garlic very tightly packed in a ring. If you want to harvest for bulbs I think that’s too close. I would space them out a bit. If you want to just cut for the greens, or just the scapes maybe a tighter planting.
I have planted a fairly random distribution around a tree in my yard. I can’t report back too much yet as it’s still the first year. But quite a few flopped over, if they are in a dense ring I would imagine it would become quite the mess. 🤷

Is anyone already working on a Nostr based location recommendation places app?
Likely include a new kind that requires location specific data like a text description, name, gps coordinates, rating 1-5, etc.
So I can post my recommendations that I know around me, each recommendation is like a signed note, and people that have me in their web of trust can see all my recommendations or aggregate recommendations across who they follow?
Basically to replace the points of interest reviews and recommendation sites of yelp and Google maps with something decentralized.

So Imane Khalif was born a woman, raised as a woman, and competed as a woman. From reading a few articles She may have some biologically abnormal capabilities that results in higher testosterone than typical for a woman. (Intersex or something else… not sure it’s any of my business to know her medical history) Wait…you mean an Olympic athlete may have some genetic capacity higher than average? 🙄It’s also not clear to me she is even considered an elite athlete that will achieve a medal?, suggesting it’s not clear there was any advantage she would possess over a typical woman trying to compete but we can just observe on that one.
I’m not sure how far I want to go with this.
So seems like a lot of people jumped to conclusions.
And I hope the internet has learned a valuable lesson about the complexities of human biology. 🤨
I’m curious what other female athletes would think of punching a competitor so hard they yield, and instead of celebrating the athletic accomplishment the internet goes sideways. Oh I guess she just hits hard, good for her. 👍
I would not be surprised to find many women competing at high levels of athleticism have a distribution of testosterone higher than typical, Either just within normal biology distribution or because something undiagnosed exists.
If that’s how they are born I think they should be able to use it to their advantage.

Made a garden soup with the kids today everything from the garden sans a bay leaf, olive oil, salt, pepper, and chicken broth.
The kids planned, Picked, rinsed, I peeled, chopped, and cooked with “help”. Kids are excited typically not interested in soup. Crossing my fingers it will be a positive introduction. In the end the kids decided against potatoes in the soup.

What would be your main usecase for needing someone to use this pgp key.
I’d agree the social graph formed in nostr is a nice way to share it. But Nostr is already a key pair, what functionality do you tap into by incorporating an additional pgp/gpg one.

Honestly, I think in the zeal for Bitcoin we demonize the Fed monetary system more than there is evidence for. Like saying *what we have now is one of the worst we could have.* Is it really?
There are other monetary systems that have categorically failed with hyper inflation. And other monetary systems that no longer exist for us to look at because those who tried them failed already. What we see now is a biased sample of only the survivors presently. What we have, must be quantifiably better than those, so ours can’t be one of the worst.
I do think all fiat eventually collapses. But the run of the Fed historically 1919 to the present, even with the spikes of inflation and recessions. It also for the most part served its function as providing a medium of exchange. And the period before the Fed also experienced inflation and boom/bust cycles. So ending the Fed won’t stop that.
Yes the purchasing power of the dollar has declined by ~95% Over the time. Savers over that range got hosed, and all the hard money criticisms follow for how that may be manipulating the economy and people and incentives. But I think the difference between the BTC dream and the current Fed system is smaller than the difference between what we have now and what the worst could be. So I think before we end the Fed we should have something lined up to replace it. if you end the Fed before BTC is adopted as the reserve currency. Then what you will likely get is worse. Just my opinion.

Those that think this way also don’t know that Twitter and any other company also can’t even be sure of the follower count. Even in a centralized service. Developers introduce hacks and bugs to get things done, intentional and unintentional. How many times have we heard complaints from people saying they suddenly “lost a lot of followers”. Because they eliminated bots was one explanation, but knowing which accounts are bots is not a perfect science, and there is certainly room for the follower counting process to have bugs. Many of us work at software companies, we all know where skeletons are. I have worked at companies that disagreed internally about the number of clients we had. Depends on what your logic is when running the query and there is room for debate on what an accurate count is. Do you count all existing users? Do you only count active users? Etc etc. In twitter’s case there just isn’t anyone else to argue with.
