Being a responsible cat owner is non-negotiable on the road. Responsibility does require flexibility at times but there are some things that are deal breakers. You must:

Desex your cat. Fecund felines are environmental catastrophes.
Microchip your cat.
Vaccinate your cat and give them regular worm/tick/flea etc treatments.
Control your cat. Your cat should never be a nuisance. Ever.
Contain your cat when and where appropriate.

Cat control and containment is going to be a long thread and I’ll post the link here when I’ve done it. This requires a tricky compromise between your cat’s right to exercise (and their wellbeing) and the responsibilities you have to your fellow campers and the environment.

Ultimately, your cat should be a ninja cat. The campground won’t even know you have one.
