How come that sidewalks can just end middle of the road, in a city, in the US?
Here in Austria there is a law requiring a sidewalk, with a minimum width, owned by the city, but to be maintained (tidy & free from snow and other obstruction) by the homeowner adjacent to the sidewalk.
Mercedes 🇩🇪 has managed to avoid a train station next to their 45.000 employee plant, but sidewalks still are a must.
