In a way I’m currently doing the same thing as you: start with my npub and then expand out. Except I’m using follows rather than engagement, my reason being that it’s easier to implement (at least that’s how it seems to me). Eventually GrapeRank will ingest data from all sources and calculate a wide variety of scores, including engagement data for an engagement score.
The first step in GrapeRank is *interpretation* of data into a format ready to be digested by my algorithm, and it sounds like that’s exactly what you’re doing as your first step, e.g. you *interpret* a reaction in one way, a zap in another way (they “mean” the same if I understand correctly, but carry different weights).
