New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey are among the top 5 states for GLBTQ+ living according to the Out Leadership Index based roughly on "legal protections, family support, political and religious attitudes, health, safety, and work environment.". New Mexico ranks 13th, much better than in the U.S. News and WalletHub guides. Unsurprisingly, Florida and Texas rank near the bottom at 37th and 38th. The bottom five are Arkansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Thankfully, none of those states are on my list of possible destinations. (5/6)
