Right, but that explanation is the same one they give for politicians. Why is Bernie supporting Hillary Clinton? Oh well, he’s only doing that because he doesn’t want a target on his back, so he retains the power to do x, y and z.
Bernie capitulated abjectly and totally to everything.
So it’s not a very satisfying explanation, even if in his case it were true.
