It is hard because he is not just speaking as a bitcoiner on a bitcoin podcast but as the head of a massive company. I think he is becoming increasingly careful of what he says. I am sure I have seen old interviews where he speaks differently on some of these issues. I think he is very aware of not painting a target on his back.
Maybe not quite voice of reason but voice of someone trying to sound reasonable to powerful people that could make his life very difficult.
