I also have studies and i have the bus and truck license. And i'll say that truck driving is less annoying but more stifling than bus driving. And the opposite is true for bus driving.
Driving a truck means usually being 18 hours on the truck and a lot of the time you live in the truck, so you better make it as comfortable as possible. This means you will not have time to have a social life and even less a family. But you will have loads of money since it's better stay at your parents. You will only be 1 day a week at home and it will be most likely to shower and sleep.
Bus driving is a combination of service industry and truck driving. You have to deal with annoying customers AND retarded drivers. And the more you spend on the road the more you will hate other people. Children scream and you cannot do anything about it, old people talk about dying people and will depress you and average joes will complain about 5 different things on average. But at least you will have time to have a semblance of a social life and be at home most days.
tbh i'd say i had a better time as a hotel clerk. The pay wasn't amazing but at least customers were polite and i met interesting people
