Yeah that's a good idea.
I occasionally set aside something that will have greater resale value. I also try to balance the potential increased margin with the amount of time it will take to message and arrange pickup with marketplace buyers. If I decide it's not worth the additional time, I just scrap it with the rest.
Sometimes I'll pull out a certain item near the scales/office at the scrap yard where people coming through will see it. I won't make any more on it, but the scrap yard owner can resell or trade it. And the scrap yard owner will remember it and make me a better deal next time I bring in a load of metal.
