Have you looked into listing some of that on Facebook before scrapping it? Some people like bandsaw blades for projects and knife making I believe. I try to do it before I load, but at minimum i usually load up scrap metal and take a picture and post online for a day or so before going to scrap yard. Gives me the opportunity to make a little more or even get a delivery fee included. If going to another location to pick up something I try to eye it up beforehand and I'll take a picture and post it on Facebook marketplace before even picking it up. Helps me gauge interest in the item. I've even posted pictures that other people sent me before going to look at stuff. Feels a little slimy sometimes but it's a free market and they weren't willing to do the work. One time I had someone see my posting for the item I was picking up from them. They were cool about it and wished me luck and that they wished they would've done a better job posting it. I've also picked up free things and had it posted before getting home. People would message on a 1000 dollar item I listed all pissed at me because they just saw it for free. That is their choice to be upset. I'm not going to pass up good deals just so someone else can have them.
