Thanks for the help everyone but apparently the issue was just that although I had carefully inspected all the *switch* ports to make sure every single one was capable of passing vlan traffic, the one *router* port that the switch was plugged into was configured to block anything with 802.1q tags. Oops. As soon as I fixed that, everything instantly worked like I expected it to.
