I keep wanting to experiment with VLANs but I just *cannot* get them to work. I make one in the Unifi control panel, I make sure that my port's "Tagged VLAN Management" sertting is "Allow All", then I go into the local Network system settings pane, create a new VLAN with the appropriate tag on the HW interface, it creates a new interface (and I see vlan0 in the terminal too) but dhcp just never acquires an address. Network engineering friends, is there something obvious I'm missing here?
