I can think of quite a few feminists who had a social media profile under their own names 8-10 years ago and they seem to have dropped off. I don't know if it was about being banned from social media or they were bullied into submission. Or maybe they are just doing quieter and more effective work. These women were not easily frightened, but TRAs here have gone after parents, children, business associates, colleagues, etc as an SOP. Think of how hard and how long Michfest held out, but it was starting to end the music careers of emerging women musicians, when it was designed to give them a boost. I think (I hope) those kinds of scorched earth tactics have lost their effectiveness now that conservatives are giving a signal boost. What happened to Riley was horrible, but one radfem was mobbed in a parking lot by a group of TRAs just for attending a bar one night and being recognized. They also threw a brick through her window, threatened her children, and put the address of her aging parents online with exhortions to the mob to go visit them. They slit the tires of a lesbian detransitioner for attending a radfem event. They tried to shut down the whole theology college where Ruth Barrett taught, and though the college stood by her, she stepped down rather than let a the college shutter for having her on the faculty. Eight or ten years ago, it was BAD here, and you didn't read about the things that happened in the Telegraph. Nor were they on Twitter, because everyone was banned.
