It's a weird design choice, because there is only another moment in the whole game that "forces" you to use it. (You can outrun the snake too but it's confusing)

And yeah it's a less "varied" game. You have a A LOT of choice with the prosthetic system but it's another kind of freedom.

This one the first souls game that truly got me immersed, when i discovered is basically tenchu again i was happy as a child haha
