It never really clicked for me (I HATED the snake part too, the game just felt like it had a bunch of forced stealth and limited freedom in how to solve issues like in their other games)

My favorite is still basically a tie between bloodborne and dks1 (ptde), though the ps3 version of demon's souls is pretty close.
