Chris Trottier (nprofile…rtmv) That example is spot on. During Reddit Migration 1.0, there were some who pushed for a "one community" to the point that they'll tell you to use theirs, or offer a merge. (I used to get the former a lot.)

While it is understandable especially in a migration scenario, it is never going to be a good thing in the long-term. If that server folds, or the admins of that community suddenly attained "enlightenment", well, we know what happens.

Besides, anyone who has been on the Internet back in 90s know it is never good to have a single community.
