so, spitting on someone's food, face, and leg have been assault in some jurisdictions.
Coughing surely depends on jurisdiction and, when not yet tried, luck of the judge. A sensible judge would realize that just like how an attack dog or a car are lethal weapons when wielded to harm, BSL-3 bioweapons are too.
