The old one flaked off into thousands of pieces as we took the old light bulb out. But no matter how we tried we couldn't get the connector off to remove the last part of the light shade.
After many attempts, and a video call to my dad, he said that it was a custom installation which can't be removed without an electrician installing a removable one...and now the light doesn't work at all 😩
