We just unsuccessfully tried to replace the light shade in the spare bedroom. The old one was a fancy plastic one, which was so old that the plastic was flaking off in small sharp plastic parts.
We got a new metal Moroccan style one from Mitre 10, and it should have been an easy job to complete.
