I wouldn't give a second thought to driving to Naples in an electric car, but I'd prefer to do it in my camper van and go touring. When I was looking for a van to convert into a camper, I looked real hard for something with decent range, but it was like 150 km max. And then, after I buy a diesel-powered Sprinter, Mercedes-Benz start advertising an electric Sprinter with 400 km range -.-;
