Then, I was bullied relentlessly by my peers. I tried to be like #Jesus and loved them anyway. I trusted adults to protect me.
The adults witnessed it several times and didn't intervene.
In 6th grade, I was sexually harassed by a teacher and came forward. At first, the principal told me I was #Brave and #Strong.
Then they told me not to tell anyone and gave me zero support to process what I'd experienced. They gave me a letter to give to my parents. They told me not to open it.
I opened it anyway because it was about me, so why shouldn't I read it. It was a copy of a letter the school was sending to the priest of our church informing him of what happened to me.
Some people, including my bullies saw it in my bag and asked me about it at track practice. They read it and told everyone.
Then, when parents found out and got angry with the school for not being informed, I became a #Liar and was later called a #Slut by the Principal.
