npub15dg202xrf2d8uag79dw6n99sxhch33ayxskzg32d67wr2u7p0zmq0uald7 (npub15dg…ald7) i get this so much. we use it when we have to, when there are things we need that we can't get/afford elsewhere. we live in the middle of nowhere. i can't drive atm. husband is busy and exhausted and shops are miles away. and money is always a huge issue. so if we need to repair something in the house, or when we needed to buy boxes for our move, or when i bought a hairdryer to stop me getting migraines and neck pain every time i washed my hair ...
if we can get something there or pay significantly more elsewhere, it has to be there really. but we don't just buy stuff there for the sake of it: just essentials. and so not that often!
i wish we were in a position to be able to choose not to use it, but at the moment, that's just not the case.
anyway thank you for posting this, both as a reminder to me (because i hate using it and i feel bad) and as a note to others. a lot of us are just doing what we can to get by and trying to do as little damage as possible in the process. sometimes though, like you say, it's a trade off, sigh.
