I think our reactions to the Meta situation so far is either a very anarchist response (direct action NOW!) or sort-of Trotskyist (mastodon is better because it’s anticapitalist)? Either we’re not thinking through what could happen near enough, or we’re *too* ideological and that doesn’t attract normies.
I think we need to look back at the Free Software Movement and learn from its successes and failures, and use that to influence what we do. But also take action to attract normies lol.
