My mom knew about it since I was five years old, but never bothered cuz I was verbal and on the outside functioned "normally". Also, as a kid I played a lot of sports and that apparently helped with my energy levels, but I felt different... I knew I was different and now that I'm aware why I can now do what I want to help with it and develop less destructive coping mechanisms. It is still a long road, but I always thought there was something wrong with me till I finally got the answers, and it turns out there really isn't anything wrong the adults especially the doctors were just incompetent.
