You mentioned spacial software, is that a control room-space emulator?
I started using the Waves NX plugin a few years back, which also tracks your head movement. It's made a massive difference in reducing the difference. I still use the speakers but have the confidence to leave it far later along the process. There are several others but the Waves one is relatively cheap, like me! 😁
