Same. I've thought about that a lot—I really wish I'd gotten more long-term results out of my CS studies. Honestly the most useful CS course I took at Trinity was probably CS114: basic web development.
If I recall, everyone was excited about Java because it promised universal, web-servable, desktop-quality apps; you probably remember a lot of ballyhoo about "write once, run everywhere", "MS Office in your browser", etc. And that pretty much happened—just with JavaScript, not Java.
