I learned Java in college (1998-2002) while pursuing my Computer Science degree, and used it throughout many courses and projects.
Since leaving school and spending nearly 20 years in tech, I have not written a single line of Java. Not once.
I feel like they should have taught either something a bit more functional like Scheme, or something closer to the inner workings of low-level computing like C.
