\5 That leads to a more positive take on polarization. The internet and social media facilitated more opportunities to voice an opinion. With the natural cognition limits in real-time as far as shared intentionality, it makes a skewed picture. Sure, there are many bad side effects, namely polarization and the susceptibility to manipulation by others; however, if it is true that the root cause is more access, then it is simply something we need to learn how to cope with if we accept the benefit.
