Basically, only read local news - news that actually affect your immediate community and real life (your town) - once a day. Then, only read national news once a week, and global events once a month. The idea being that news ALL THE TIME exposes us to stories that are not even finished yet. Pacing news intake gives events a chance to settle, so you get a much better, well-rounded account.
