Democracy, at its core, is not the very specific process we have in the US. Democracy is a concept where people in the government are elected. That doesn’t mean it has to be done by *this method.*

This method is fucked, at the very least. It’s important to separate “democracy” from the very distinct electoral process of the United States. Even if you believe in democracy, you should be able to admit that there are some very glaring flaws in here that allow for something this awful to happen.
