After using CDE for a few days, I have to say, I appreciate today’s DEs even more. Things I take for granted today, such as a font config GUI, don’t exist. I’m still trying to figure out how to change the title bar font, and just the title bar font. So far, my research has turned up nothing.

But trawling through all those config files helped me appreciate the history behind CDE. There are still copyright notices from HP, IBM, Novell, Sun, et al. Must’ve been crazy putting all this together.
