I feel like by waiting on merchants to accept and include BTC payment infrastructure we are throttling the transactional value of BTC in real world environments. This adds extra step friction to adopters that engage with and want to use BTC on a day to day level.
There are more BTC adopters that want to transact with BTC balances than there is merchants willing to accept BTC.
