Anyway, since this *isn't* a 5-hour video essay, I should wrap up this thread, but the thing I would like you to take away from it is not so much that you should necessarily put on black thigh-high boots and go to the mall (although by all means you should do that if you want), but rather that we all have an inner self-censor that prevents us from doing things which are beautiful and authentic, by worrying that they might be embarrassing. But it is better to be cringe than to be silent.
