If, by chance, you’re one of those folks who wants to live on the wild side and invite other people to your Fediverse server, I suggest three things:
1. Start with a single user server first, and keep it running for an entire year
2. If you can manage a *single* user server, stress test it by inviting a few more trusted friends to join
3. And if you can handle that, but want strangers, don’t just allow anyone in—make potential users apply to join
Yeah, these tips don’t create the conditions for growth, but they do create the conditions for sanity.
