To consider just how insane this is: Spouse and I each have a path to provincial nominee status in Ontario, and I have a path in Newfoundland as well. We want Newfoundland over Ontario, and conveniently, Newfoundland will want us. It never, ever fills its quote of immigrant nominees. Not enough people are willing to come live there. Meanwhile, my spouse has a great remote job tied to Boston/Toronto. Our kids will go to school in NL. And, hey, I am a PhD student at NL's ONLY UNIVERSITY... uh oh.
