There is definitely good, useful things in Econ, just not what tends to be taught.

My last econ class was my one & only favorite, and I forgot the name. It was about economics & development, and stuff like micro loans & reverse income taxes have stuck with me since. There are policy choices we can make that can help people, but the US has been a pay for play policy arena for decades.
