I never got the sense (and maybe I have the wrong impression from reading only a few select quotations) that Feynman had any particular animosity towards academia. More like a sense of wonder and a profound humility to acknowledge that even the smartest of us can be and often are absolutely totally completely wrong about things. Not just the details. Even the really big things!
