While this thread mostly discusses physical products I think this is an interesting discussion for #Nostr. What graceful failure modes are we building into the apps, the protocol etc? There’s the obvious relay based decentralization at the core of Nostr but what else needs a graceful fail?

When I read about these things I always think about some of the writing of nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqhykucplphuhelaxutcw4jw3vuu7gcg42czhqmk7jhchs8vdga4fswlqz4x (nprofile…qz4x) on graceful failure modes. A product (system) is not defined by its success but by how good or poorly it fails. I've been teaching students that not considering (poor) failure modes is a huge liability.
