All you need to do is offer people the alternative you prefer, but discouraging a Signal user, (or someone who is considering to use it to contact another Signal user), with thoritical FUD, does nothing but harm.
So my point stands the FUD is either psyop or people being irresponsible, if they actually care they would just offer the supposed upgrade.
