7/ We are normalizing Trump’s coup attempt as an acceptable political tactic. After all, if news media pros, who follow this stuff in detail day in and day out, don’t treat J6 as particularly signif, why should ordinary Americans who pay minimal attention to politics?
I've been doing this 36 yrs, for outlets as small as the Middletown Times Herald-Record & as big as the AP and NPR.
I've been wrestling with the idea of this piece for the better of a year, including whether to even write it.
