The reason why that ‘cleaning’ piece grabbed my attention at the time, and subsequently stuck out in my mind afterward (even if I failed to save a copy), was simply because I’d ›never heard of it before‹.
That’s literally how far computer-assisted/based editing had come in just 20 years - that there was a type of issue that once existed with EDLs, that subsequently stopped being ‘a thing.’
