I'm a bit familiar with the NY Hilton - it's a common conference and event venue. It has multiple entrances on all four sides as well as a garage door. So it's implausible that someone could lie in wait at the right entrance without having some knowledge of the route the victim would likely be taking. So everything about this (including the escape) was obviously well planned.
