So it seems that in order to save the world, Link must grow up without a father, as Darunia is forever trapped as a sage. That part I didn't catch the first time. The sages are trapped there forever and nothing in the game suggests they get to leave. The green girl even says she and Other Link cannot exist in the same world together.
So will Link grow up resentful of Other Link because his actions took his father away from him? I'm talking about Link, the goron, of course.
