I said that PF took inspiration from them. Yes, primarily in the color scheme, because PF aren't going to be wearing revolutionary war era outfits as that's not practical.
PF aren't trying to LARP as the SS like so many other failed nationalist movements in the US have done. They prefer to stay true to the American history, heritage, and culture, rather than try to pretend to be members of a German movement from 80 years ago.
