Bro. You are just blind. It would be pretty cool if they actually took inspiration from Continental Army uniforms, but they're just wearing boots and khakis. Where do you even see any similarities at all? The colors? Modern military aesthetics are SHIT.
I wouldn't care about the mask at all if the rest of it was fine. I think a gaiter would look fine over an SS uniform.
