a) telephony sucks, i'm autistic, i don't want to talk to creepy old dudes
b) my auditory processing is shit anyway.
c) ft8 requires way less power / is fine with worse antennas
d) ft8 does the log book keeping, etc. all for me digitally, i don't have to do a thing
e) a single frequency without having to scroll across the band
I still use SSB from time to time and I do like to do a voice contest, but only on specific bands or for good reasons.
