As I’ve been getting into #HamRadio I’ve been seeing/hearing some confusion from folks who have been in the hobby for a while why textual digital modes like FT8 are so popular on HF (vs traditional voice modes).
I have my own theories but I want to know what you have to say. So fedi, why are text digital modes seemingly more popular than voice among new (typically younger) hams? Wrong answers only.
