Chris Trottier (npub1jeq…jglm) arent most projectors under 80 some shit resolution like 480p or 720p? not even 1080p would look great blown up to over 60 inches, which is a pretty big downside considering the biggest advantage to a projector is the possible display size
i'd also argue flat panel LCD TVs are more proven than projectors, they both use similar display tech inside iirc and the backlight on a TV lasts forever unlike projector bulbs, cinemas just use them because its dark as hell in there and they need a big ass display so everyone can see
