I think we will have to agree to disagree on the first point. I do agree that saying "They aren't like Jesus" is a logical fallacy. The argument that I'm trying to make is that Christian Nationalism is in direct opposition to Christianity. Christian Nationalism is also in direct opposition to democracy, and that is not a logical fallacy.
On the second point, I chose the SAB as less threatening option for atheists and agnostics. It's easier to digest the text when you have a counter viewpoint. Don't get me wrong. I am an opponent to religion and I haven't been a "Christian" for 30 years. I despise everything Evangelical and performative Christian. I also believe that it's counterproductive trying convince religious people that God doesn't exist. Better to fight fire with fire.
