The #ravens have decided I’m not a threat and no longer flee in alarm when I come outside. I noticed them watching me with the chickens earlier this week, so maybe I’m a Friend to Birds or something. They’re not tame (and I don’t want them to be) but they swoop down and grab their morning eggs from the designated egg spot before I finish feeding the chickens.
I went back inside and a few hours later I heard a raven calling. I looked out the upstairs window, and before I could get the camera app open and recording, the raven had hopped from the fence rail to Miss D’s neck and walked down to her butt!! But then they just stood there, yelling for their mate for almost a minute. Here’s when the mate arrived, but Mate had a different plan in mind.
